THE REFUGE - Pointe Mouillee State Game Area
One of my favorites spots in southeast Michigan. This little preserve is great for bird watching and escaping the crowd. It’s a perfect example of the vaste water marshes and wetlands that exist along Lake Erie. This was the shot that started and inspired all the others. The ultimate way to enjoy this area is to wake up an sunrise walk out to the outter banks and watch as night becomes day over lake erie. The fog horns sound from the Detroit river and hug freighters slide by on the smooth morning water. Then stroll back and watch the wetland birds rest in their watery preserve.

Archival Matting Our acid free and lignin free mat boards are made from virgin-alpha cellulose. We use only Crescent Alpha mat rag museum board, which was designed for the Metropolitan Museum of Art almost a century ago, yet it remains the leading choice of museums and library today. All our artwork comes hinge-mounted, a more archival process than other alternatives such as dry-mounting. Limited editions are matted with double 4-ply mats. Open edition prints are 5x10 in an 11x14 single 6-ply mat.
